What is Wizfair?

Wizfair LLC is a U.S.-based online travel agency (OTA). We facilitate bookings for:

For most airline bookings, Wizfair acts as Merchant of Record, meaning your card is charged by Wizfair on behalf of the airline.

Is Wizfair an airline?

No. Wizfair does not operate aircraft or provide transportation services.

Airlines control:

  • Flight schedules
  • Boarding policies
  • Aircraft substitutions
  • Seat assignments
  • Baggage handling
  • Flight cancellations

Wizfair facilitates booking but does not control airline operations.

Why book through Wizfair instead of directly with an airline?

Wizfair may offer:

  • Competitive pricing
  • Consolidator or negotiated fares
  • Assistance with changes and cancellations
  • Optional add-on services

However, airline fare rules always apply.

2. Flight Bookings & Ticketing
When will I receive my ticket confirmation?

After payment is successfully processed:

  • You will receive a booking confirmation email.
  • An e-ticket number is typically issued shortly after.
  • In some cases, ticket issuance may require additional verification.

If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, contact support.

What is an e-ticket number?

An e-ticket number is a 13-digit airline-issued number confirming your ticket. It is different from your booking reference.

Can I book one-way tickets?

Yes. Wizfair offers:

  • One-way
  • Round-trip
  • Multi-city

Some countries require proof of onward travel.

Can I hold a fare without paying?

Generally no. Airline fares must be ticketed immediately.

Prices are not guaranteed until the ticket is issued.

Why did the price change during booking?

Airline fares are dynamic and may change due to:

  • Seat availability
  • Fare class changes
  • Inventory updates

Until ticketed, pricing is not locked.

What does “non-refundable” mean?

Non-refundable typically means:

  • Base fare cannot be refunded if you cancel voluntarily.
  • Some government taxes may be refundable.
  • Airline credit may be issued instead of cash.

Each airline sets its own rules.

What is Basic Economy?

Basic Economy fares may:

  • Restrict changes and cancellations
  • Limit seat selection
  • Restrict carry-on baggage
  • Not earn full mileage credit

Restrictions are airline-controlled.

What is the 24-hour cancellation rule?

For flights:

  • Originating in the U.S.
  • Booked at least 7 days before departure

Airlines must allow cancellation within 24 hours for a full refund.

Cancellation must be requested within 24 hours of booking.

Can I change my ticket?

Changes depend on:

  • Fare rules
  • Airline policy
  • Ticket type

Fare differences and airline penalties may apply. Wizfair service fees may apply.

Can I change the passenger name?

Airlines usually do not allow full name changes.

Minor corrections may be allowed with airline approval and possible reissue fees.

Names must match your government ID exactly.

4. Separate Tickets & Hidden City Ticketing
What is a separate ticket?

Separate tickets occur when flights are booked independently.

  • No protection for missed connections
  • No obligation for airlines to rebook
What is hidden city ticketing?

Hidden city ticketing involves exiting at a connection instead of the final destination.

Airlines may:

  • Cancel remaining segments
  • Suspend loyalty accounts

5. Baggage & Ancillary Services
Are baggage fees included?

Baggage policies vary by airline and fare type.

Wizfair does not control baggage pricing.

What happens if my bag is lost?

Lost baggage claims must be filed directly with the airline.

6. Hotel Bookings
Can I cancel my hotel reservation?

Depends on the hotel’s cancellation policy.

Non-refundable rates are typically not refundable.

Why did the hotel charge additional fees?

7. Refunds & Cancellations
How long do refunds take?

  • Airline processing: 4–12 weeks
  • Wizfair processing: 7 business days after funds received
  • Bank posting may take additional time
Are Wizfair service fees refundable?

No. Booking and service fees are generally non-refundable.

What if I paid with an expired card?

Refunds go to the original payment method. Your bank routes the funds.

8. Travel Credits
How long are airline credits valid?

Airline credits are subject to airline expiration rules.

They are typically non-transferable.

9. Payment & Security
Why does my statement show a different name?

Billing descriptors may reflect:

  • Wizfair
  • A payment processor
Can Wizfair request ID verification?

Yes. For fraud prevention, we may request identity verification.

What happens if I file a chargeback?

Filing a chargeback:

  • Does not cancel your booking
  • May delay refund processing
  • May result in account suspension

Fraudulent disputes may result in legal action.

10. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Am I responsible for travel documents?

Yes. You are responsible for:

Denied entry is not grounds for refund.

11. Sanctions & Compliance
Can Wizfair refuse service?

Yes. Wizfair complies with U.S. sanctions and anti-money laundering laws.

Bookings may be refused if legally required.

12. Travel Insurance
Should I buy travel insurance?

Travel insurance is optional but strongly recommended.

Wizfair is not the insurer and does not adjudicate claims.

13. Pricing Errors
What if there was a pricing mistake?

In cases of obvious technical or fare filing errors, Wizfair reserves the right to cancel the booking and issue a full refund.
